On the 21st of April 2021, Ms Heng was scalded by boiling water from a faulty kettle at her home, and suffered 2nd degree burns on her face. She was treated at Singapore General Hospital’s emergency department, where she was placed on intravenous antibiotics and fluids.
Ms Heng also happens to be the mother of Jack, a co-founder of Rock & Herb. After hearing of her burns, Jack gave her Rock & Herb’s Enzyme Rescue moisturiser for her face. Rock & Herb’s Enzyme Rescue moisturiser contains bromelain and papain, two proteolytic and anti-inflammatory enzymes. Rock & Herb’s enzymes are specially modified to be safe for the skin and accelerate wound healing by debriding dead cells. It also reduces excessive and disorganised collagen production that causes thick raised scars or keloids during healing.
“Suddenly a lot of dead and damaged skin fell off painlessly, and my face recovered very quickly. I also drank a lot of water and ate a lot of fruits”, she said in mandarin.
Several weeks later, Rock & Herb’s Perfecting Skin Essence Spray was used to help fade away the remaining hyperpigmentation on her face. “I am glad that the products of a company I co-founded was of great help to someone, particularly someone so close to me.” Jack said.
